Moseley in Bloom is a charitable organisation that aims to make Moseley a greener, cleaner and even more attractive place to live. It functions as a community action group, made up of volunteers and entirely dependent on fundraising and charitable donations from local residents and businesses to carry out its work.

Moseley in Bloom enhances the local environment in three main ways – by setting up permanent planting schemes in collaboration with other local groups, by organising the main floral displays in the village centre over the summer and by arranging an Open Gardens event each year. It does a lot more besides – from running a regular plant stall to setting up plant tidying and cleaning sessions around Moseley Village. It works with Schools on educational projects, offers talks on the green environment and works with other action groups on environmental protection and conservation.

We need your financial support by becoming a Friend of Moseley in Bloom and we need your time by becoming a volunteer with the organisation. But equally important we need your ideas and your involvement to make Moseley an even better place to live.  We welcome any comments on what we do and how we communicate with you.

What we do

Moseley in Bloom covers a breadth of areas – all linked in with the local environment. Our mission statement sets out our aims:

“To contribute to the sustainable regeneration and environmental improvement of Moseley and to facilitate community cohesion.”

We have three objectives to help us achieve this which are outlined as follows:

Horticultural Achievement

Through using best horticultural practice to deliver impact and delight in community, residential and business areas, including green spaces. We do this through:

Environmental Responsibility

In partnership with other agencies to improve local environmental quality and the Moseley street scene through using appropriate resource management to preserve and conserve our local heritage and protect the biodiversity of our natural heritage. We do this through:

• Front garden and street tree planting
• School involvement and support
• Eco/recycling advice and support

Community Participation

To reach out and engage our diverse community through public awareness, events, participation and volunteering. We do this through:
