Schools Project results

Moseley in Bloom are delighted to announce that we have awarded four Moseley primary schools grants to develop gardening projects with pupils, teachers and parents.

King David Primary School pupils will be constructing a living willow dome which will be installed and maintained by members of the school’s community. Students will learn about the willow tree in both the classroom and in the playground where it will grow.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School will develop a wildlife haven for bees, birds and butterflies. Their school has an ‘eco council’ which will work with pupil and parent volunteers.

Uffculme School will convert an overgrown path and patch of ground in the centre of the school’s promenade, giving pupils opportunities to nourish and cultivate interest in the sights and scents of flowering plants.

SS. John and Monica Catholic Primary School will revive and renew a former prayer garden with new planters and plants, and a new cross centrepiece. It will be a garden of repose and reflection for the school’s community.

The trustees congratulate all the schools and wish them success with their projects!
