We are now counting down to this years Moseley in Bloom ‘Real’ Open Gardens event!
After the success of last year’s virtual event the Moseley in Bloom Open Gardens team is delighted to announce a real event for 2021. This will take place on Sunday September 12th between 11:00 and 5:00. We are looking forward to enjoying Moseley gardens as they move into their Autumn colours.
The ticket price is £10 and under-12s go free. You will get a wristband to show that you have paid and a booklet with descriptions of each garden, a key showing refreshment points, music venues, loo stops, a map showing all the garden locations and bus stops, the bus timetable and more information about Moseley in Bloom and our work in the community.
Tickets can be bought online in advance for collection at your choice of four gardens: 36 Chantry Road, 65 Moor Green Lane, 19 Dyott Road and 20 Cambridge Road. The online store will close at 8am on Sunday morning, to allow us to do the final packing of booklets and wristbands ready for delivery to your chosen garden.
On the day, tickets can be purchased at the same four gardens – 36 Chantry Road, 65 Moor Green Lane, 19 Dyott Road and 20 Cambridge Road. At the gardens you can buy with cash or cheque, and you will also be able buy directly on your phone by scanning a QR code and using the SumUp customer app. If you have not used SumUp before it is very easy and is widely used in many shops and cafes. For a first-time user you will need to download the SumUp.io consumer app and set up your credit card. It just takes a minute. Then scan the QR code with the app, click ‘pay’ and show the receipt to the ticket seller.
We are very pleased to again have the support of Andrew May and his bus, an exclusive service which comes free as part of your ticket. The bus will run from 11am on a circuit designed to cover all open garden locations, with stops either directly by the garden or at most only a few minutes walk away. The service will run all day, a new loop starting from Billesley Lane Allotments on the hour every hour from 11am to 5pm. The back cover of the garden guide has full details of the timetable.
