Message from the new Co-chairs

Welcome! Moseley is still blooming well into the late summer, and we have some exciting news and plans on our horizon.  Not only will the charity be continuing its amazing beautification schemes in the Village like our floral displays, but we will also be extending our successful Schools Scholarship programme to even more schools this year.

We are working on a plan to further beautify the village with a Moseley Wall (living wall) above the Co-Op, and we are working on a youth volunteer scheme to begin a guerilla gardening element of the charity.  If you like ‘gardening without permission’ this is the group for you!

Finally, we are excited about a gardening club which includes plant swaps and mentoring for new and experienced gardeners alike.  This club can be a place for getting a vegetable garden growing in your garden or entering the RHS “It’s Your Neighbourhood” scheme with loads of support from our gardening enthusiasts.

The money we fundraise through Open Gardens and now more youth fundraising schemes, as well as our business sponsorship, will go a long way to supporting all of these projects which make Moseley an exciting place to visit and in which to live and work.

We’d love to stay connected to you… follow us on Facebook/moseleyinbloom, Twitter @moseleyinbloom, Insta. Consider becoming a Friend of MiB—for just £20 a year you can know you are supporting the charity’s developing work in beautification, community engagement and education.

Amy and Benita’s goal this season is to ensure we let everyone know Moseley in Bloom is more than hanging baskets!!
